Not Applicable - An outer interment receptacle (burial vault) is generally not required when you arrange a direct cremation service. However, one may be required if you intend to bury the cremated remains on a family plot and the cemetery has a vault requirement. When arranging a direct cremation and a memorial service service, most families select one or two items from the list below. The price range for these extra items of service and merchandise are included for your review.

Cash advance items are third party expenses incurred by us on your behalf. Services and merchandise provided as cash advance items will be billed at the same amount paid by the funeral home. Since it is illegal in New York for funeral homes to profit from cash advances, Bryn Mawr Chapels, Inc. does NOT INCLUDE them on our Statement of Funeral Services and Merchandise Selected. We will provide a document that details the cash advances that apply to the funeral that you are arranging and you can pay the vendors directly by cash or check (if the vendor accepts personal checks). • Cemetery expenses (new niche): Price range from FREE to $3,500.00
• Cemetery expenses (niche opening and closing): Price range from FREE to $1,500.00

• Gratuities: $20.00
• Bridge and Road Tolls: $10.00

The old adage "Life is what happens when you're making other plans" is absolutely true. Inevitably, you'll be required to make cremations arrangements exactly at the time when other major expense arise. For some people, these things aren't a problem. • Flowers: Price range from $100.00 to $1,500.00
• Memorial Luncheon (if you invite your funeral guests to a post-memorial service luncheon): Price range from $350.00 to $1,000.00
• Travel expenses (if you and other family members have to fly to another city to make service arrangements): Price range from $400.00 to $1,500.00
• Personal expenses (dry cleaning clothing, a visit to the barber or hair salon, food items for the house in case visitors stop in): $150.00 - $500.00

A typical direct cremation that includes a memorial service from Bryn Mawr Chapels, Inc. costs between $2,500.00 and $3,500.00. Naturally, the total amount of the service that you arrange will ultimately depend on the services and products that you select so an amount lower or considerably higher than the figures that we've quoted is possible.
